In 2021 I created a series of 3 surrealistic paintings, as a personal project.

There is a lot of symbolism hidden in this illustration. 
I consulted a book called The Victorian Language of Flowers for this. 
Some of the plants hidden in this illustration and their meanings:

Sunflower: Fake gold 
Basil: Hatred
Nasturtium: Impetuous love
Yellow rose: Infidelity
Evening primrose: Fickleness
Honeysuckle: Devotion

The pigeon and heron are also birds that carry symbolic meaning for me. The heron means bad luck and the pigeon is an alterego for the self.
